“I Applaud Him” | Ready On Benji Wanting A Work Life Balance

Questions have been raised about Benji Marshall’s coaching methods after a story emerged suggesting he wasn’t a totally committed head coach.

Brent Read backed Benji’s desire to prioritise his family on Triple M’s Saturday Scrum

“Benji had five shoulder reconstructions during his career and still played more than 300 games, you don’t do that unless you’ve got an amazing work ethic.” said Read

“You go on social media and see Benji has a holiday in Fiji and plays some golf and everyone goes well that must be what he does with his time.”

“But its not, he works really hard.”

“I applaud him for saying between five and eight, I’m focusing on my family.”
