Your Christmas Day forecast is here – and it’s a good one! 

It’s officially a week out from Christmas, so we have a pretty good idea of how the weather will look on the big day.

The Bureau of Meteorology has released its forecast for December 25 across capital cities this year.

Sydney

Sydney’s Christmas Day will be humid and sunny with a high of 26°C, rising to 77% chance of rain and 18% chance of thunderstorms by night. Boxing Day is expected to be 29°C, mostly cloudy with morning showers.

Brisbane

Brisbane is predicted to experience a hot Christmas Day. AccuWeather reports that the temperature may reach 29 degrees, though it could feel as warm as 31 degrees. The day will be humid, featuring a mix of clouds and sunshine. As night falls, temperatures will drop to 19 degrees under clear skies. On Boxing Day, the thermometer is expected to climb to 30 degrees, feeling more like 34 degrees.

Adelaide

Adelaide is expected to have hot and sunny weather. On Christmas Day, temperatures are predicted to soar to 33 degrees Celsius during the day before dropping to 22 degrees at night. Boxing Day is forecasted to be even hotter, with a high of 34 degrees Celsius and some clouds.

Melbourne

AccuWeather is now predicting a high of 28 degrees for Melbourne, updating its earlier forecast of high cloud cover to a sunny day instead. There is expected to be no rain on December 25.

Additionally, AccuWeather anticipates a significant rise in temperatures on Boxing Day, with a maximum of 36 degrees.

Perth

Perth is gearing up for a sunny and pleasant Christmas. According to AccuWeather, the temperature is predicted to be around 24 degrees, with some evening rain expected. Boxing Day looks similar, but there could be some rain in the morning.
