Young Woman Dies In Crash At Uleybury, North Of Adelaide

A young woman died in a fatal crash at Uleybury, north of Adelaide, at 10 pm last night, with police and emergency services called to the scene. 

According to South Australia Police, the 21-year-old Uleybury woman died at the scene after her Toyota sedan veered off Uley Road and crashed into a tree.

Roads were closed for several hours whilst major crash investigators examined the scene.

The roads have since re-opened.

SA Police said the woman’s death marked the 54th life lost on the road, compared with 33 in the same period last year.

Around 8:47 am this morning, police were called to the scene of a vehicle collision at the intersection of Main North Road and Womma Road, Elizabeth Park.

SA Police said there were no serious injuries and advised drivers to change different routes to avoid congestion.

The intersection was cleared at 10:15 am. 

Based on the traffic statistics provided by SA Police, 54 fatalities and 52 fatal crashes have happened so far in 2023. 

Among all the road accidents, there have been 362 cases where people suffered from severe injuries and a total of 313 serious injury crashes.
