A female handler has reportedly been attacked by a tiger at the popular Gold Coast theme park, Dreamworld.
According to reports by the Gold Coast Bulletin, the incident occurred around 9am on Monday.

The woman, who is believed to be a handler at the park, suffered “multiple deep lacerations” after being mauled by one of the tigers.
The Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed to the publication that paramedics were swiftly on the scene to treat the woman before she was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital for further medical attention.
In response to the incident, Dreamworld issued an official statement acknowledging the attack.
“Dreamworld acknowledges an incident that occurred involving one of the park’s tigers and a trained tiger handler,” a Dreamworld spokesperson said.
“This was an isolated and rare incident, and we will conduct a thorough review accordingly.”
Dreamworld, well-known for its variety of attractions and thrill rides, is also home to Tiger Island, a popular exhibit featuring tigers from the Sumatran and Bengal species.
The park is renowned for its interactive tiger experiences, where visitors can observe these animals up close and learn about their behaviours and conservation efforts.
The condition of the tiger involved in the incident has not been disclosed.
