VicEmergency is advising people to avoid the flooded areas and be aware of potential hazards caused by the flooding.
Across the state, there are nearly 40 Advice warnings in place, requesting for people in those areas to stay informed.
The rainfall comes as a relief to firefighters battling blazes in the Gippsland region.
Overnight on Monday, residents were told to evacuate immediately, before those warnings were changed to “take shelter” for those who hadn’t left yet, with conditions unsafe to seek refuge elsewhere.
