The search resumed at first light on Friday, encompassing air, land, and sea operations.
Authorities have closed the beach and advised the public to avoid the area.
This incident follows two similar attacks in 2023, when 55-year-old surfer Tod Gendle was fatally attacked by a shark at the same location.
Another 46-year-old teacher, Simon Baccanello, also died in a suspected shark attack while surfing at Walkers Rock Beach.
The Eyre Peninsula is known for its shark activity, particularly great whites, due to rapidly changing water depths and abundant seals.
The search for the missing surfer is ongoing, with authorities urging caution in the area.
