A woman has been found dead in a home in Sydney’s west on Tuesday evening.
Police attended the property at around 8:15PM on a welfare report following a concerned call from a member of the public.
Upon arriving at the scene, police found a deceased woman in her 50’s.
The woman is still yet to be formally identified.
A 50-year-old man known to the woman, was found with several injuries on his arms and was transported to hospital for treatment.
The man is believed to be in critical condition and under police guard at Westmead Hospital.
Police have established a crime scene at the home and have launched a full investigation into the woman’s death.
