There has been a new development in the murder of rapper Tupac Shakur who was killed in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas 30 years ago.
Nevada homicide detectives have searched a home near Las Vegas in connection to the rapper’s murder on Tuesday (local time).
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, a search warrant has been executed at a home in the city of Henderson near Las Vegas.
It has not yet been revealed what the police were looking for or who the owner of house is.
When asked for more details on the case via a phone call, department spokesperson Aden Ocampo-Gomez said he is unable to provide more information due to the search being connected to an open investigation.
While the rapper was killed nearly three decades ago, there is no statute of limitations on the prosecution of homicide cases in the state of Nevada.
The legendary rapper was shot and killed while sitting in a black BMW next to head of Death Row Records ‘Suge’ Knight.
The pair were at a red light near the Las Vegas strip when a white Cadillac pulled up next to them and unloaded gunfire into the vehicle.
Tupac was hospitalised and died from his injuries a week later.
