Melbourne teenager Bianca Jones dies after suspected methanol poisoning while backpacking in Laos.
Police in Thailand confirmed Ms Jones’s death, which follows a suspected mass poisoning incident that has left up to 14 people severely ill.

Last week, the 19-year-old and her friend, Holly Bowles, became critically ill after drinking at a bar in Vang Vieng, a popular tourist spot located north of Laos’ capital, Vientiane.
According to the local authorities. Ms Bowles remains in hospital in Bangkok in critical condition.
Other victims who have died from the suspected methanol poisoning include two Danish tourists and an American tourist.
In a statement earlier this week, Ms Jones’s family described the trip as a “dream getaway”.
Authorities in Laos are investigating the suspected methanol poisoning, a dangerous issue that has previously plagued the region.
Vang Vieng has long been a popular destination for backpackers, but the tragedy has raised concerns about the safety of alcohol served in some venues.
