Police have arrested a passenger on board a Jetstar flight after he opened the emergency exit door on arrival at Melbourne Airport.
The man allegedly ignored requests from flight attendants for him to return to his seat, and then opened the emergency exit door after landing.
He walked out on the wing of the A320 before leaping onto the tarmac.

The emergency slide was deployed when the emergency exit was opened, however the man slid down the engine.
Three ground handlers at Melbourne Airport tackled the man on the tarmac before he was arrested by police.
2GB producer Audrey Varghese, who was on board the flight, said people were screaming as the incident unfolded.
“My heart sank immediately,” Varghese said, “People were just screaming because of how strange this behaviour was.”
Other passengers on the flight were all seated at the time.
