Trump’s speech will wrap up the four-day Republican rally in swing-state Wisconsin, drawing thousands of conservative activists and officials.
However, major changes in the race remain possible with less than four months to go.
Trump’s appearance comes as 81-year-old Democratic President Joe Biden clings to his party’s nomination despite pressure following the debate.
Biden is currently isolating at his Delaware beach home due to COVID-19.
As the Democratic National Convention is set for next month in Chicago, Biden faces increasing calls to drop out.
The convention’s final day will feature prominent speakers like wrestling icon Hulk Hogan, President of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White, and former Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
Carlson praised Trump’s unifying behaviour following the assassination attempt, calling it the most responsible leadership he’s witnessed.
“In that moment, Donald Trump, months before the presidential election, became the leader of this nation, that was the most obvious to me. And I have to say, you know, I think it changed him,” Carlson said.
“I reached out to Trump within hours of it that night, and what he said to me that night, having just been shot in the face, he said not a single word about himself. He said only how amazed he was and how proud he was of the crowd, which didn’t run.”
Security remains a primary focus in Milwaukee following Trump’s near-assassination, with a significant law enforcement presence ensuring the convention proceeds without incident.
