Cops Seize 10kg Mexican Ice And Luxury Items In Melbourne

A joint operation between Victoria Police and the Australian Border Force has charged two men and seized 10kg of methylamphetamine and 6kg of MDMA.

Police intelligence shows the ice had been sent via international freight from Mexico to a storage facility in Richmond.

Police also searched residential addresses in St Kilda and Malvern. They seized a Mercedes-Benz GLC, eleven luxury watches, and two gel blaster pistols.

Victoria Police Detective Inspector Dave Galea said: “Had this amount of methylamphetamine made its way onto our streets, it would have spread through our suburbs, fueling more violence, crime and drug addiction.”
