A 20-year-old man from Capalaba has been charged with robbery and the kidnapping of two young children following an alleged series of crimes in Beenleigh.
According to police reports, the accused man is said to have initiated his crime spree at a service station on City Road in Beenleigh shortly before 5 pm.

Police allege that he assaulted a 26-year-old woman and attempted to steal her car.
The attempted car theft was thwarted when a passer-by intervened, prompting the man to leave the scene empty-handed.
He then allegedly approached a parked car at another service station on the same road.
Police claim that the 26-year-old female passenger exited the vehicle, at which point the man purportedly seized the opportunity and drove off with two young children seated in the back.
Fortunately, authorities swiftly intervened, and the children were found unharmed at a service station in Cornubia shortly after the alleged kidnapping.
Both women involved in the incidents sustained minor injuries.
The 20-year-old suspect has since been apprehended and charged with two counts each of kidnapping and assault occasioning bodily harm.
Additionally, he faces charges of unlawful entry of a motor vehicle and illegal use of a motor vehicle in connection to the alleged crimes.
The accused is set to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
