Renown Perth gardening expert and the director of Kings Park’s Botanic Garden, Sue McDougall, joined Pete, Matt and Kymba to express her extreme disappointment at the theft of NINE HUNDRED or so rare orchards from Kings Park recently.
It’s fair to say, the overall mood from the news is one of disappointment.
“These are two plants that you wouldn’t otherwise see in the wild,
“We planted out two types of spider orchard, both of them on the threatened list, and unfortunately someone’s come through, over a couple of nights actually, and scraped them and taken them.
“It’s so disappointing!”
There’s potentially a massive fine in play should the alleged robbers be caught. So that’s something to think about.
