Following a recent appearance on The Project, Kellie Finlayson joins Bec & Soda to set the record straight on her cancer prognosis.
Despite the confusion spread on several news outlets, Kellie maintains that she is “NOT cancer free”.
“I’m so grateful to have these outlets to create awareness [of bowel cancer].”
“But obviously it sucks when it’s taken out of context,” Kellie said.
Bec & Soda first spoke with Kellie in early February, learning about about what it was like to receive the terminal cancer diagnosis.
Kellie initially discovered her bowel cancer at age 25 after a routine CT scan to determine the cause of her ‘tummy problems’. This later worsened when it had metastasised to her lungs.
Kellie’s message to anyone with tummy problems is that “bowel cancer is not just for the elderly”.
