In 2003, Aussies were glued to their screens for the Australian Idol final.
Country boy Shannon Noll and “go the fro” Guy Sebastian battled it out on stage.
But it was Guy Sebastian that ultimately took out the win.
In Nollsie’s aptly named debut single, What About Me, the loveable country boy became Australia’s favourite runner up.
Two decades on, Nollsie is cemented in Aussie culture as being robbed of the Australia Idol title and has (in jest… mostly) been compared to Guy as second best.
Speaking with Jimmy and Nath, Nollsie reveals he has been beaten again by Guy Sebastian, but this time it was on the golf course.
The boys reveal they absolutely love their golf and Nollsie reveals he’s played against Guy.
“He’s still got me,” Shannon Noll says.
“He beats me at everything I do.”
“Not again!?” Nath asks.
“Still coming second.” Jimmy adds.
“Dammit!” Nollsie laughs.
