This week is Finance Week on the Triple M Gold Coast breakfast show with Flan, Ali and Spida. Ending the week with Mark Bouris who is the Executive Chairman of Yellow Brick Road, where helps Australians access their dream homes.
Mark says the reserves bank has no other leavers when it comes to mortgage interest rates and if you want to get ahead speak to a mortgage broker or jump online to see who has the best interest rate around.
“Make sure you know what your interest rate is and compare the two, do a bit of homework”
If you don’t have a mortgage and have aspirations of owning a house, his advice is to work out where you want to buy, what properties in that area are selling for, then work out what kind of deposit you would need to buy. “It’s all about sacrifice” Mark says most people have no idea what they spend “they get their credit card and they tap away”.
“It’s very important to be aware of how much you earn, how much you spend, and then and only then you realise how much you can save”
