Triple M Cricket’s Greg Blewett says he believes David Warner’s Test career is over.

“I think so,” Blewey said when asked if he believed David Warner’s Test career was done on the Rush Hour with Bernie, Blewey and Jars.
“The whole talk going into this Test match was that we were going to see an aggressive Dave Warner, and he got 15 off 44 deliveries.
“So the signs aren’t great.
“Apart from that Boxing Day score, his last 20 Test matches, he has not done a hell of a lot.”

Warner has had a lean stretch since the start of 2021, with his last 19 Tests returning 914 runs with four 50s and just one century — a gutsy 200 at the MCG against South Africa — at an average of 29.48.
The fiery opening batter’s record against India in that time is particularly concerning — he averages just 13.48 from seven innings in four matches, with no score above 48.

Blewey’s comments came on Friday at a Rush Hour outside broadcast, after Warner had been dismissed caught behind for a battling 15 in trying conditions.
Warner was subsequently subbed out of the Test match after suffering a concussion while batting.
Australia went on to lose the match after suffering a sweep-laden second innings collapse of 9/48 in 18.1 overs.
India chased down the 114 the Aussies set in 26.4 overs.
