Premier Chris Minns said medical staff who are treating Bondi attack victims have done “an incredible job, but they need your help”.
“They need blood and if you’re thinking about doing an act of public service in the coming 24 hours, I urge you to contact the Red Cross and do that piece of public-mindedness,” Minns said.

Hospitals in Sydney have received several large orders for blood, particularly O-negative, which is critical in emergencies when a patient’s blood type is unknown.
Less than seven per cent of Australia’s population has an O-negative blood type.
This means up to 100 donations may be needed to save one life.
Australian Red Cross Lifeblood is transporting blood from interstate for victims of the Bondi attack and urgently needs donations.
People willing and able to donate blood can visit lifeblood.com.au or call 13 14 95.
