Australian cricket legend Mike Hussey has done the unthinkable at this T20 World Cup — he’s defected to England as a coach.
After England’s win over Sri Lanka knocked the Aussies out of the tournament, the man they call Mr. Cricket joined Howie and Hads on Willow Talk and spoke about how it felt to help knock the team he played so much cricket for out with his new team.
LISTEN HERE:
“I’m fully invested with England at this stage, especially at this business end of the tournament,” Huss said.
“I was obviously hoping that England won the game, which subsequently would have knocked Australia out.
“I know the English were pretty happy that the Australians were knocked out as well!”

Hussey did admit that it felt a bit odd to put the England top on for the first time, however.
“It was weird, I’m not lying,” he said.
“It felt a bit funny pulling on that shirt and seeing the Three Lions on the chest there. I thought ‘oh gosh, what have I done here? What have I got myself in for?'”
