Demons skipper Max Gawn says he feared for the worst after injuring his knee against Brisbane, worried he had suffered a third ACL injury which would’ve threatened his career.
“The word ACL got thrown up” he said on the Marty Sheargold Show.
The diagnosis later revealed MCL damage, meaning a four to six week absence.
“When two people down in the rooms said they can’t ruled it out, I had a little moment to myself. Which apparently wasn’t the thing to do according to some critics..”
“To be fair, I should’ve pissed myself laughing when I heard ACL,” Gawn said in jest.
