Today makes the 19th anniversary of the single, greatest moment in State of Origin history.
The year was 1994 and the Maroons found themselves with their backs against the wall, trailing the Blues at the Sydney Football Stadium 12-4 with less than ten minutes on the clock.
Illawarra forward Dale Fritz found a chink in the Blues armour and put Willie Carne over beside the posts to bring the Maroons within two points of the Blues with five minutes left to play, AND that’s when a miracle occurred.
With second seconds left on the clock and 90 meters to travel it looked for all money that Blues would win Game One of the series.
Little did Mark Coyne know when he played the ball that he was moments away from scoring the greatest try in State of Origin history.
Miracle man Mark Coyne joined Triple M Breakfast with Marto, Margaux and Dan to reflect on the historic moment.
