Cal Twomey from AFL Media joined the Rush Hour with JB & Billy, explaining the package that North Melbourne is putting together to make a play for the top pick in the draft.
West Coast holds the number one pick, and Cal says it will need to be an almighty offer to trade up for it.

“North are coming for it, there’s no doubt about that,” he told JB & Billy.
“If they get pick three they’ll have 2, 3, 14, 19 and then three first-rounders next year. That’s a suite and a half to make a bit of a play for it.”
Complicating the decision to hold or trade pick one is WA key defender Daniel Curtin, whose draft range sits in the top three.
“If you’re West Coast and you move back, you only want to move back one or two spots so that you are getting a look at Daniel Curtin, 195cm key back,” Cal continued.
“Personally, I would take Harley Reid.
“He’s as good as anyone, he’s as good as we’ve seen come through the draft in recent years. We’ve got three years with him now locked in and if he wants to go after that his market’s gonna be bigger.”
Cal also talked through the Pies’ move for Lachie Schultz and the rest of a bumper trade period.
