Each year at the ARIA Awards, teachers from around the country are recognised for their work with students with the Telstra ARIA Music Teacher Award.

Former Opera singer Sue Lowrey caught up with Flan, Ali and Spida to talk about her nomination, her incredible work as a teacher with some very talented special needs children at Southport Special School and why we need to get behind this year’s awards!

Listen below…

For 10 years Sue has created programs for her students to ensure that every student has access to the same quality of music education as their mainstream peers. Drummers, singers, ukulele groups and more.
