Triple M’s Call Of Dan Houston’s Winning Goal After The Siren Against Essendon

Port Adelaide took their winning streak to a 12th game with an incredible winning goal from Dan Houston after the siren against Essendon at the MCG last night, and Triple M Footy was right there riding all the bumps.

The Triple M Footy call team of Jack Heverin, Tim Solly, Joey Montagna, Ethan Meldrum and Michael Roberts were gobsmacked by the finish.

It capped off wild, see-sawing game that it looked like had been won by Port when they kicked away to a three goal lead in the fourth quarter.

Then it appeared that Essendon had won the game when Jye Caldwell put the Dons two points ahead with 90 seconds to play.

Houston had other ideas, though, marking a hacked kicked out of defensive 50 from Nic Martin and coolly converting the set shot from outside the arc.

The win was Port’s 12th in a row, with six of those victories by 10 points or less.

The Power sit second with a 13-2 record, two wins clear of third-placed Brisbane.
