Ahead of Dustin Martin playing his 300th game this Saturday, we’ve put together our call of all four of his goals from his masterful performance in the 2020 grand final.
OUR CALL OF DUSTIN MARTIN’S FOUR GOALS IN THE 2020 GRAND FINAL:
It was the magnum opus of an incredible career, with his incredible game sealing a third Norm Smith Medal and his reputation as one of the greatest ever big game players — if not the single holder of the title.
MORE ON DUSTIN MARTIN:
For the true Richmond nuffies out there, we also put together a longer version of that highlight package which includes more than just the goals.
OUR CALL OF ALL THE MASSIVE MOMENTS FROM THE 2020 GRAND FINAL:
Dusty plays his 300th game against Hawthorn tomorrow, adding another achievement to an already all-time great career.
His long list of accolades include three premierships — and a Norm Smith Medal and Gary Ayres Award in each one of those flag seasons — four All-Australian blazers and two best and fairests.
Dusty also capped off one of those most personally brilliant seasons of all time in 2017 with a record number of votes to win the Brownlow Medal, the player voted Leigh Matthews Trophy for the season MVP and the AFL Coaches Association player of the year award.
MORE FROM TRIPLE M FOOTY:
Dusty initially came to Ricmond via pick 3 in the 2009 draft, and debuted in round 1 against Carlton the next year.
He immediately took to AFL level, picking up Brownlow votes in every season since he first debuted.
Dusty also proved durable, playing at least 20 games in all of his first 11 seasons.
He becomes the seventh Tiger to play 300 games, joining Kevin Bartlett (403 appearances), Jack Riewoldt (347), Jack Dyer (311), Trent Cotchin (306), Shane Edwards (303) and Francis Bourke (an even 300) in the illustrious group.
