Max Gawn admits he’s had some difficult conversations with disgruntled teammate Christian Petracca, amid ongoing speculation about his future at the Demons.
“I’ve had some hard, honest conversations [with Christian] on where we both sit with the Melbourne Football Club,” Gawn told Triple M Breakfast with Rosie, Wil and Daisy.
“I’m planning for Christian to be there [next season].”

Gawn believes club leaders have scope to improve their messaging, after President Kate Roffey’s unsettling radio interview on Thursday.
“The number one underlying gripe for 12 months is potentially our comms. Internally they’re really good, I’ve had some robust conversations with Kate, Gary, Richo, Goody and all the leaders.”
“Internally I’m proud, sometimes we can miss it when we’re behind the mic.”
Gawn received his 7th All-Australian honour on Thursday night, but added he wasn’t able to enjoy the event amid the ongoing speculation.
“I get the position I’m in… It took the life out of the event for me.”
