Essendon could be set for a big blow ahead of the Anzac Day blockbuster against Collingwood, with Jay Clark The Sunday Rub skipper Zach Merrett is set to be cited for a dangerous tackle on Melbourne’s Tom Sparrow in their win over the Dees on Saturday night.
Jay on Merrett’s Suspension:
“As we know.. the game wants to make a statement on these head knocks,” Jay said.
“(The AFL is) wanting to be tough on punishing the action, not the outcome- and that is what’s going to be the case here.”
