Daisy Thomas has revealed why he rejected a mega offer from GWS Giants during their establishment, a deal which would’ve netted him $6m over 6 years!
“Heath Shaw and I were contemplating what to do, googling what a chopper would cost from Bondi to GWS every day,” Thomas told the Marty Sheargold Show this morning.
In 2011, it was reported the Magpies premiership star had been approached by the new franchise to become one of their marquee men.
Daisy said money wasn’t a factor in his decision to forgo a move to Greater Western Sydney.
“It was always going to be a tough journey starting with the Giants. I weighed up all those things – leaving family – and passed on the offer.”
