New Wallabies coach Eddie Jones is celebrating his first victory of his NRL rivals after snaring the signature of Roosters star Joseph-Aukuso Sua’ali’i.
Sua’ali’i will become Australian Rugby Union’s World Cup poster boy after inking a deal reportedly worth $1.6 million per season from 2025 onwards.
It’s been 20 years since the Wallabies last tasted World Cup victory, but former Wallaby fullback and Triple M with Marto, Margaux and Dan host, Greg Martin isn’t sold on the signing.

“Have they paid too much? Definitely.” Marto said.
“Wingers do not win you a World Cup, wingers don’t win you games, they decide how many points you win them by.
“Roosters are probably happy to get a little bit of money out of the ‘salary sombrero,’ I’d say.”
