Corey Parker’s Origin Bombshell – Gagai and Papali’I OUT
Queensland’s Origin great Corey Parker has revealed his State of Origin side for next month’s series opener.
Parker, who played 19 games for the Maroons, thinks now is the time for coach Billy Slater to usher in a new era for Queensland.
“I absolutely love Dane Gagai, but unfortunately there comes a time in everybody’s career where you sort of get moved aside,” Parker said.
“Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow played into the series last year and played in the centres and was absolutely outstanding.
“Dane Gagai – take nothing away from him, he’s been a wonderful servant for Queensland, but I think now is the perfect time to blood someone.
“You pick your best players and find a place for them.”
