Grant Denyer, one of Aussie TV’s most-loved game show hosts, joined Triple M’s Rush Hour and agreed to host the game ‘Under Pressure’.
Liam explained the rules to Denyer, which as Dobbo said was “like teaching Tom Brady how to throw a ball”
The 25-year veteran of Australian television took hosting responsibilities in his stride. He nailed the “stick to the beat, don’t repeat” tagline with the confidence of a man who knows his way round a game show.
Denyer also spoke to Leisel Jones, Liam and Dobbo about his career and revealed some of the behind the scenes world of ‘Deal Or No Deal’. He can be seen presenting that at 6pm every weeknight on Channel Ten.
The show has just dropped a new board game – as Liam Flanagan pointed out, the true measure of a quality tv show. There’s also a chance for people buying the game to win $1,000,000!
Besides hosting game shows, some more chaotic (‘Under Pressure’) than others (Deal Or No Deal), Denyer also told The Rush Hour about his friendship with Larry Emdur. “He’s always been one of the good ones.”
Listen to Grant Denyer’s stories from 25 years of television, featuring some major ups and downs from his broken back and problems with pain medication to the Logies.
And now Grant Denyer hosts Under Pressure to add to his glittering credentials.
