Following the announcement of Jack Wighton’s decision to leave the Raiders to join South Sydney, Dolphins’ CEO Terry Reader says what the media said they reportedly offered Wighton is “fanatical”.
Reader told The Rush Hour with Leisel Jones, Liam & Dobbo what they offered Wighton was “a fair and reasonable offer”.

“We put what we thought was a fair and reasonable offer, and to be honest some has been fanatical in the media about what we’ve offered him and how it all came together. At the end of the day he’s chosen to go somewhere else.
“We look forward to what we’ve already done. We’ve resigned the Hammer, Jeremy Marshall-King and Connelly (Lemuelu) over the last couple of weeks – two extensions. More importantly we’ve added to our squad today with Josh Kerr.” said Reader.
