On the latest Classic Saturday Rub, we’ve gone back into the archives and dug up one of the all time great moments in the show’s history: the Spud vs Chompers Feud of 2016.
THE SPUD vs CHOMPERS FEUD OF 2016:
The saga began when Tony “Chompers” Jones gave spud a clip on the Hot Breakfast with Eddie McGuire, Luke Darcy and Mick Molloy, which James Brayshaw played to Spud Frawley on that weekend’s Saturday Rub.
Spud responded by giving Chompers a proper, Saturday Rub style roasting, and probably figured the case was closed.

However Chompers couldn’t but give Spud a small drive-by on a news segment a few weeks later — a comment Spud overheard.
Naturally, Spud couldn’t resist going back for another dip — but little did he know Chompers was listening, and he rang in to give Spud Regis one of the all time touch ups!
