Local pharmacist Anthony Piggott says the new pharmacy trial taking place in NSW isn’t as good as it seems and “there’s a lot of unintended consequences”.
The trial will allow people to access certain medications from community pharmacists without a prescription, and in some cases, get a 60 day supply instead of 30.
But Anthony says “there’s definitely going to be some fall out”!
He tells Tanya & Steve that he already knows of a few pharmacies that will likely go under due to the changes and that people should speak to their pharmacists to find out what it will mean for them personally.
