Jay Clark Says Tom Lynch Is Dealing With A ‘Serious’ Injury In Addition To Possible Suspension

Triple M Footy’s Jay Clark has offered the latest on Richmond star Tom Lynch, who could face the tribunal for his bump on Alex Keath and is also dealing with a serious injury.

JAY CLARK ON TOM LYNCH’S WOES:

“The MRO Joey, and you know I’ve got a 100% strike rate… it has to be graded as the rules are written, as a careless action, clearly high contact, and severe impact. Because it’s a severe impact grading it has to go straight to the tribunal.

“Maybe the tribunal, Richmond can argue that he was genuinely going for the marking contest, but the tone has been set this season. In 20233 if you jump and bump and hit someone in the head you will face the consequences.”

Not only could he be facing the tribunal, but he is also set to get scans on a ‘serious’ foot injury.

“In addition to that, he is being treated to a suspected serious foot injury.

“He was hampered by a foot injury over the summer, he went down into the rooms for some treatment and for an assessment yesterday.

“Richmond are concerned by his foot problem, he’ll have scans if not this afternoon then tomorrow.

“The extent of the damage even Richmond are unsure at this stage, but it is suspected serious.”
