Daisy Thomas left Collingwood for cross-town rivals Carlton in a big-money move, but he revealed on the Rush Hour the amount of money he left on the table late in his lucrative Blues contract.
DAISY ON THE PAY CUT HE TOOK AT CARLTON:
Daisy made the switch to navy blue in 2014, and met a trigger for a fifth year extension on big money.
“I hit a trigger clause which would’ve meant I hit a fifth year, where their total player payment increases as well.
“So it would’ve been north of probably [$800,000].
“I said don’t worry about it, pay me and play me on merit, so I gave it back.”
