Crows legend Tex Walker has addressed the strong concerns and queries over the Adelaide’s bad form on Roo, Ditts & Loz for Breakfast this morning.
TEX ADDRESSES ADELAIDE’S BAD FORM:
“I was thinking about coming here this morning, how do we talk about where we’re at,” Tex admitted.
“I think it’s simple, if you take seven or eight of your starting eighteen out of your team, and we’ve had that in myself, Ranks (Izak Rankine), (Riley) Thilthorpe, (Nick) Murray, (Wayne) Milera, (Matt) Crouch.”
“If you’re a Crows fan driving along you’re probably going ‘oh here they go, here’s the excuses’, but it’s the facts.
“We’ve had long term injuries we’ve had a few of our key players out, it does leave a massive hole game day.”

Tex also underlined the experience gap between the selected 22s in the Crows’ loss to Richmond.
“It does create a great opportunity for our young guys to step up, and on the weekend we were nowhere near the level,” he said.
“To give you a bit of a stat, I thin it was about 30 or 40 games difference in us to Richmond on the weekend — that’s about two years experience.
“We were younger than Richmond on top of those key players out.”

Tex lamented that injuries had cost the Crows a chance to make a dent on 2024.
“I knew at the start of the year if we stayed healthy we’d give finals a bit of a shake up,” he said.
“But as I said, we’re gonna find out about our younger group, who can and who can’t in the second half of the year.”
Tex also addressed his own availability, his support of Matthew Nicks, and his message to the fans.
