On the Midweek Rub, Damian Barrett has endorsed Port Adelaide’s decision to hold off on contract talks with Ken Hinkley despite Damien Hardwick’s decision to step down at Richmond.
“The unknown about the future for both has worked beautifully for both, I think it’s created an edginess to operations,” Damo said.
“If they’ve identified at the start of the year August, I would not be deviating off that one bit.
“They created for themselves a live premiership hope.”
