On the first Midweek Rub of the year, Leigh Montagna said Carlton is primed to finish in the top four this year.
The Blues spent the 2022 season in the eight before falling out in the final round of the season on percentage.
That may work in their favour for 2023, with history suggesting there is usually a team outside the eight that vaults themselves into top four contention the following year.
“I think they tick every box this year,” Joey said on the Midweek Rub.
“I think they’re cherry ripe, I rate the coach, I rate the captain, so I think the leadership’s there.
“There’s no excuses, absolutely they can finish top four.”
