Australian comedy icon Glenn Robbins has paid tribute to fellow icon, the late great John Blackman.

“As far as my career goes, he is day one for me,” Glenn told Mick & MG on Thursday.
“When I first started all I wanted to do was meet Bert Newtown, Barry Humphries & John Blackman.
“If you managed to get a spot on Hey Hey it’s Saturday it was huge but the big moment for me is if you can manage to get a laugh from John.
“And when you got a laugh from John it was a nod saying you’re ok, you’re one of us and I was lucky enough to get that.”
Blackman passed away earlier this week aged 76.
