Ibis Colony Removed After Causing Havoc Along Gold Coast Highway

A colony of Ibis (or more commonly known as the Bin Chicken) have been living along the Gold Coast M1 Highway. They have been causing havoc for drivers, pedestrians, and Yatala locals.

Several birds had been found dead after nesting along the busy motorway, with the State Government stepping in to protect them against vehicle strikes.

Finally licenced ecologists have removed eggs, nests and also cleared vegetation near the Exit 38 site.
