Jeremy Evans was on a solo trip in the Alberta mountains when he was mauled by a grizzly bear protecting her cub. He shares his story with Flan, Ali and Spida, including how he was just “in the wrong spot at the wrong time”.
He tried to pull out the bear spray however when he looked up the mumma bear was right in front of him “I only had a quick second to react, I literally just grabbed my bicycle dropped it infront of her”. The bear then grabbed his hand, and she bit his hand so badly he could feel her teeth.
Not long after he had a quick moment to escape when the bear started walking away, then she turned around, and what Jeremy calls it had “round two”. He said at the time he didn’t feel any pain.
