MCC CEO Stuart Fox On The MCG Turf Ahead Of Round 1

Triple M’s Dead Set Legends spoke to the CEO of the Melbourne Cricket Club to discuss the state of the playing surface at the MCG.

Images have surfaced during the week of bare patches of grass following the Ed Sheeran concert at the home of footy last week.

MCG TURF UPDATE:

Fox said that last bits of Turf were laid on Saturday morning and is confident it’ll hold up in Round 1.

“It’s nearly finished actually. I think we’re laying our last few strips this morning and it’s done,” Fox said.

Fox told DSL that although Gather Round pushed the season opener a week early, the MCC were always confident they’d get the turf up to scratch.
