Dave Riccio With An Update On Burton & The Dogs Plans

The Bulldogs were dealt a huge blow in their 40-24 victory over the Titans with Matt Burton suffering a knee injury that’s set to keep him in the stands for multiple weeks.

“Four to five weeks way is his anticipated return.” said David Riccio on Triple M NRL Daily.

Stephen Crichton was moved into the halves for the remainder of the game but Riccio expects the Dogs Captain to remain in the centres this week.

“I expect more than likely Crichton to remain in the centres and potentially Bailey Hayward would come into the halves for the dogs this weekend.”

It was a costly win for Canterbury as Viliame Kikau also left the field with a knee injury, with The Bulldogs awaiting scans to determine the damage and timeframe of his return.
