Queensland Maroons shocked the rugby league world with a few changes to their squad ahead of Game Two of State of Origin!
And Danny Weidler on Triple M NRL’s The Journos stated that NSW Blues forward Angus Crichton aren’t falling for Maroons “mind games”.
Obviously captain Daly Cherry Evans’ dropping has dominated the headlines but one of the other changes stunned many, such as Patrick Carrigan being demoted to the bench.

“Angus really deadbatted a lot of questions around the Queensland team selection in front of the television media,” stated Weidler.
“In front of the print media, I’ve been told that Angus went down the line of, surely that’s not going to be the team that runs out of the field.
“I don’t know the exact quotes, but he went down the line of mindgames.”
Michael Chammas added that this could be the ploy Queensland need to undertake as they try to turn the tide of not only being down in the series, but being written off by many as they aim to avoid a second series loss.
