Rory Sloane Steps Down As Crows’ Captaincy Is Passed To Jordan Dawson

Today on the show Roo, Ditts & Loz catch up with Crows’ ninth AFL skipper, Jordan Dawson

Jordan was initially drafted by Sydney from SANFL club Sturt in 2015 and played 64 games for the Swans before returning home to join the Crows last season.

“Real exciting down here at the moment, I think we’ll see a lot of guys step up,” Jordan said.

Jordan adds that “it’s a real honour” to follow in the footsteps of former captains, including Mark “Roo” Ricciuto.

Jordan joins the list of Crows’ leaders including Mark ‘Roo’ Ricciuto, Taylor Walker and now Rory Sloane who has officially stepped down from leadership duties.

Sloane will continue to focus on healing from his knee reconstruction, keeping his sights on rejoining the Crows in round 1 this year.
