Gus Gould has found himself in hot water with the NRL after comments he made on Channel 9’s 100% Footy program on Monday night.
Brent Read revealed that Gould has been issued a breach notice and a $20,000 fine after he said “Our game is so stupid” in relation to the bunker’s decision to not award a try to Api Koroisau.
“The issue here is he’s also a club official, he’s obviously the head of football at the Bulldogs – as a club official there’s rules around what you can he can not say.” said Read
“That’s where it becomes an issue, if he was just a commentator he could do what he wanted but because he’s a club official at the same time there’s some rules you’ve got to follow.”
“He’s probably pushed the envelope a bit too far this time”
