Woodsy Says ‘Frustrated’ Dragons ‘Want To Play Finals’

Aaron Woods joined the Rush Hour with Gus, Jude & Wendell to preview the opening round of the 2023 NRL season but also explained how his side, St George Illawarra Dragons are aiming to change the tune of the narrative circling the Saints already.

The Red V have been anything but ‘mighty’ before the commencement of the new campaign.

Off-season troubles and a dismal performance in the Charity Shield against South Sydney Rabbitohs have put the Dragons in the firing line but Woodsy has explained how they’re aiming to kick-start their season.

‘Everyone’s come into training firing,’ said Woods.

‘We need too, we were quite poor in the [Charity Shield].’

The Dragons finished the 2022 season with a 50% winning record and Woodys believes that’s enough of a springboard for the Saints to improve.

‘We wanna play the finals,’

‘We got the players to do it, Ben Hunt came second in the Dally M.’
