The Sydney Roosters started the 2025 NRL season in the worst possible way, being thumped 50-14 by the Brisbane Broncos in Sydney on Thursday night.
But it was the post-match comments from Roosters coach Trent Robinson that caught the eye of Aaron Woods & Beau Ryan.
Robinson praised the Roosters “effort & physicality” despite conceding 50-points.

That same year, the Roosters finished with the wooden spoon.
Statistically, the Roosters can’t win the Premiership as no club has ever conceded 50 points and gone on to win the Grand Final that season.
